~ 2010 Asian Pacific American Heritage Awards ~

Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez recently hosted a ceremony to celebrate
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and to honor two Chicagoans known for their contributions
to the Asian community.  Also recognized during the ceremony were two local high school students
for the award winning essays on the consequences of “sexting,” and a local area law school student
who received a summer internship with the State’s Attorney’s Office.

The ceremony was held May 13, 2010 at the Chinese American Service League in Chicago.
