Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez hosts the Minority Law School Student Reception
to introduce students to the State’s Attorney’s Office.

The reception is an annual event that includes a panel discussion, led by State’s Attorney Alvarez, which includes assistant state’s attorneys who are members of the National Black
Prosecutors Association, National Hispanic Prosecutors Association, National Asian
Pacific Islander Prosecutors Association and the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago
This discussion provides insight into the office and to the importance of minorities
serving as prosecutors.

Students from around the country attend the reception, which was held
at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
