Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez hosted an annual ceremony to commemorate
African- American History Month and to honor two Chicagoans known for their contributions
to the African-American community.  Local college students who received summer internships
at the State’s Attorney’s Office were also recognized during the ceremony.

The ceremony was held February 28th at the Parkway Ballroom in Chicago.

State’s Attorney Alvarez presents the C.F. Stradford Award to Judge Michael Brown,
an Associate Judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
