Stephen R. McAllister
Stephen R. McAllister is the present U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas. Nominated by President Donald J. Trump, McAllister become U.S. Attorney on January 25th, 2018. U.S. Senate confirmed Stephen R. McAllister into U.S. Attorney through voice vote.
U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas is comprised of almost 50 assistant U.S. Attorneys as well as 50 support staff members. They are occupied in different offices of Kansas City, Topeka, and Wichita. Stephen R. McAllister is in charge of this entire Office. However, the main Office of McAllister is located in Kansas City, Kan. Moreover, he keeps traveling to other offices.

Later in 1993, McAllister started working in the faculty of law. In 1997, he also received Dean Frederick J. Moreau Award. For his teaching excellence, McAllister won the W.T. Kemper Fellowship award in 1999. Besides, for his unmatched services to Kansas City, he won Steeples Award in 2008. Furthermore, from 2000 to 2005, McAllister has served as a distinguished Dean of the K.U. Law School.
During his professorship tenure, McAllister taught three key courses of constitutional litigation, constitutional law, and torts. For which he argued almost nine times before the U.S. Supreme Court that he has taught federal civil rights and constitutional law at Kansas University.
When McAllister was sworn as U.S. Attorney, he administered his oath in a private ceremony at the Kansas University campus. McAllister acts on behalf of the U.S. in litigation in federal court. Precisely, this Office is the representative of the U.S. government in civil matters; besides, it conducts criminal prosecutions.
After becoming U.S. Attorney, McAllister said:
‘I feel honored to serve the district of Kansas, and I duly accept the duties of U.S. Attorney to follow established laws while upholding the principles of impartiality, fairness, and equal justice that is the right of all.’
Solicitor General of Kansas
With regard to the professional career of McAllister, he has worked as the first and only Solicitor General of Kansas. In this role, he argued cases on behalf of the Kansas State in the Supreme Court. Besides, McAllister served as the honored Professor of Law. He was honored to become E.S. & Tom W. Hampton Notable Professor of Law.
Education
In 1985, Stephen R. McAllister received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. In 1988, he also earned his J.D. degree from the University Of Kansas School Of Law.
