Cook County Automated Victim Notification

The Cook County Automated Victim Notification (AVN) is a telephone system that provides victims and witnesses necessary information about the custody status of the offender and the criminal case, and notification on the release of the offender from custody, as well as on the upcoming court dates involving the prosecution of criminal cases.

Important: Registration is required to receive notification calls. Notifications are available in three forms:

The following information is available, and may be accessed through the Cook County Automated Victim Notification:

Cook County Jail Inmate Custody Status – information on the custody status of offender behind bars at the Cook County Jail

Circuit Court Case Information – includes the date, time, and location of next court date; number of charges; information on the release of the defendant from Bond Court; and mandatory conditions of bond
