Thomas T. Cullen
Thomas Tullidge Cullen is a well-known American attorney from Virginia. He is the son of former Attorney General of Virginia Richard Cullen. He was born in 1977. This 43-year-old attorney is now serving as an attorney for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. President Trump nominated him on 27 February 2018. He joined the office on 30 March 2018. He has been a licensed attorney for over 15 years now.
On 18 December 2019, he was nominated by President Trump to serve as a United States District Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. His nomination was sent to the Senate on 4 February 2020.
Mr. Cullen is currently the highest-ranking federal law officer in the Western District of Virginia, which comprises 17 cities and 46 counties. There are around 70 employees, including 30 Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys and Assistant U.S. Attorneys, who work under his guidance.
Being a U.S. Attorney, he is responsible for monitoring federal crimes that take place within the district. The office of US Attorney is also involved in civil actions and collecting debts owed to the government.

Mr. Cullen always maintained his focus and studious nature as his approach towards studies and his profession. For Mr. Cullen, time is of the essence, which can is evidenced by the fact that he delved right into the legal profession soon after he graduated. Mr. Cullen is a highly educated man who acquired his bachelor’s degree in Arts from Furman University. He also completed his Juris Doctor from the William & Mary School of Law.
In the initial days of his career, after completing his graduation, he worked as a law clerk to Roger Gregory and Robert E. Payne. Before joining as a clerk, he was holding the position of principal at Woods Rogers PLC, where he used to represent clients in criminal litigation and complex civil court.
Mr. Cullen started his law career as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Charlotte, NC. As a former defense attorney and prosecutor, he has a lot of experience in matters such as financial fraud, healthcare fraud, tax offenses, public corruption, drug conspiracy, money laundering, and other crimes.
Before starting his private practice, he worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Virginia and Deputy Criminal Chief, where he directed many prosecutions and investigations. He also supervised and coordinated with the officials at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
